This morning, escape aboard the Denali Star train connecting Anchorage to Talkeetna. You’ll enjoy Alaska’s breathtaking panoramic views. In good weather, you may catch a glimpse of Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America.

Arrive in the charming village of Talkeetna, known for its laid-back lifestyle and numerous craft shops with colorful storefronts. Enjoy some free time to stroll through the streets.

A day dedicated to exploring Denali National Park on foot.

Your guide will select the best hikes suited to your skill level and preferences. You’ll enter the park via its only road access, Park Road. It’s not uncommon to spot wildlife along the roadside here.

Hiking in the heart of Denali National Park is a true encounter with nature… A mystical experience, dominated by an abundance of flora and fauna, and by the spectacle of Mount Denali, rising to 6,194 meters.

Access to Denali National Park is strictly regulated. The only way to see its wildlife and get up close to its fantastic ecosystem is to board the bus chartered by park authorities. We offer a comprehensive tour with experienced guides who will explain the park’s history. They’ll also help you spot the abundant wildlife that inhabits the park, and on this day, you might be lucky enough to see bears, moose, or caribou.

This morning, you’ll board the Coastal Classic Train, which runs from Anchorage to Seward, in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. You’ll arrive in Seward, on the coast.

From the port of Seward, you’ll set out on a half-day marine wildlife-watching excursion. Aboard a small boat, your captain will navigate the calm, sheltered waters of the northwestern part of Kenai Fjords National Park in search of whales (including humpback whales and orcas), sea otters, sea otters, seals, and bird colonies. The rugged coastline of the Chugach mountain range adds to the beauty of the scenery. The expedition also offers close-up views of several glaciers.

A day filled with adventure featuring a “packraft” expedition (individual inflatable rafting).

Your guide will first explain how to use and maneuver the packraft and will go over the essential rules of water safety. You’ll inflate your packraft and put on a drysuit.

Then you’ll set out to conquer the Kenai River. Over a distance of 12 to 15 kilometers, you’ll navigate the river’s waters, ranging from calm to choppy (Class I–II for the most part). It’s not uncommon to spot wildlife, which is abundant along the riverbanks.

Head to the port of Seward to board a boat that will take you to your lodge, located on a private island.

Nestled in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula on the shores of Resurrection Bay, this lodge is accessible only by boat or kayak and offers a truly immersive experience with nature. Each yurt has been designed in perfect harmony with nature, featuring a balcony with a stunning view of the ocean. Orcas sometimes swim close to the lodge. The setting is charming and perfect for rest and relaxation.

While you’re there, in addition to enjoying the natural sceneryfrom your private deck, you’ll have the option to participate in a variety of activities on your own: kayaking, hiking, fishing, and wildlife and bird watching.

Spend the morning at your lodge, balancing relaxation and adventure. After a night lulled by the sound of the lapping waves, you’ll admire the turquoise-hued bay with a cup of coffee in hand. You may spot some marine mammals, such as sea lions or, if you’re lucky, orcas. Numerous species of birds soar overhead, including eagles searching for salmon scraps, which are very abundant in the area.

In the morning, return to Seward by boat.

Arrival in Homer, world-renowned for sport fishing and the halibut fishing capital.

Free day to explore Homer, the terminus of the Sterling Highway, which runs along the west coast of the Kenai Peninsula.

Homer is well worth exploring to immerse yourself in its history and natural beauty. The “town” area is a maze of narrow streets lined with colorful wooden houses, small cafés, and great spots to sample the famous king crab claws.

Set off on a day of adventure—by light aircraft and on foot—with the goal of spotting Alaska’s brown bears.

Depending on the day’s weather conditions, you’ll fly by light aircraft to one of the following areas:

• Katmai National Park and Preserve. More than 2,000 brown bears (grizzlies and Kodiak bears) live there, feeding mainly on salmon and seafood. This park also features more than 14 active volcanoes, and you’ll fly over a few of them. The colorful panorama during the flight will take your breath away.
• Lake Clark National Park and National Preserve, accessible only by light aircraft, reveals some of Alaska’s most beautiful landscapes. Nestled among mountains, the sea, and glaciers, the park is a prime destination for wildlife viewing.

Wearing waterproof wetsuits, you’ll set out with your pilot-guide—an expert on brown bears—to get as close as possible to these animals, while maintaining a distance that doesn’t disturb them. Depending on where they are that day, you’ll observe them along the riverbank catching salmon or on the shoreline hunting for clams.
