Exploring Anchorage

This morning, you’ll set out on a guided trolley tour of Anchorage—a unique and accessible way to explore the city. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll explore historic neighborhoods, bustling waterfronts, iconic natural areas, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding lakes. It’s not uncommon to spot moose or eagles along the way.

The afternoon is free to continue exploring Anchorage at your own pace. You can stroll through downtown, watch urban salmon fishing, or deepen your understanding of Indigenous cultures by visiting a dedicated cultural center (optional).

Talkeetna

We set out for Talkeetna via one of Alaska’s most spectacular roads. Along the way, panoramic views of mountains and vast wilderness unfold. On a clear day, the majestic Mount Denali, North America’s highest peak, comes into view on the horizon.

Arrival in Talkeetna, a charming village with an authentic character, known for its laid-back atmosphere and colorful houses. Free time to stroll through the streets, explore the local craft shops, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this small community nestled in the heart of nature.

Katmai National Park and Preserve

An exceptional day of adventure dedicated tospotting Alaska’s brown bears. From Homer, you’ll board a small plane to fly to Katmai National Park and Preserve, one of the best places in the world to observe bears in their natural habitat.

The flight alone offers a breathtaking spectacle: active volcanoes, lakes, rivers, and wilderness stretching as far as the eye can see. Upon arrival, you’ll hike along maintained trails and boardwalks to watch the bears catch salmon, particularly near the Brooks River.
